Seminar: Skin Variables and Cover-up Tips   Seminar: Building Your Book of Business​ When Nicolette Ferreira started down the path as a tattoo artist, she had been so hungry for knowledge in her new career and craft that she had taken a lot of random classes: from the study of skin, scars, keloids, and cardiovascular, to the manipulation of the color wheel, to pottery classes, and finally welding. If it could be translated into something beautiful and artistic, she would try it. Now, after ten years in the industry, she has added Continuing Education instructor to her resumé. ​ When her source of Continuing Education classes closed up shop, she found the resources teaching CE classes were extremely limited.  She proposed a few different courses to the OHD and they accepted them. SKIN VARIABLES AND COVER-UP TIPS  BY NICOLETTE FERREIRA   2.5 CREDIT HOURS Seminar, $150 Saturday, April 23rd, 12:30PM - 3:00PM ​ This is your opportunity to learn hints, tips and tricks to cover anything and everything from an artist that estimates 70% of her work is in some way a full-cover, revamp of, or addition to existing tattoo work.    This seminar is for you if you want to: • Learn what works best for stubborn sites and scar tissue. • Gain a better understanding about the variables of our diverse palettes. • Appreciate how ethnicity, age, gender, locations, medical conditions, scar coverage, and mental traumas can affect tattooing.

BUILDING YOUR BOOK OF BUSINESS  BY NICOLETTE FERREIRA   2.5 CREDIT HOURS Seminar, $150 Sunday, April 24th, 12:30PM - 3:00PM   After obtaining her BS in Business with a minor in Marketing, Nicolette spent eleven years as a private banker before becoming a full-time tattoo artist. Nicole draws on her invaluable experience as a student, private banker, tattoo artist and successful tattoo shop owner (she currently has eight tattoo artists, a massage therapist, and a nail tech on staff -- all female!) in order to bring you vital information that will help your business and brand thrive in today's market. ​ This seminar will teach you how to: • Build a strong loyal following. • Marketing to a new generation. • Hints tips and tricks to keep your books packed and residual referrals. • Taking your art to the next level and breaking out of the basic bitch tattoo block. • Grow your business organically. • “Art from the heart and your pockets will never empty” how to handle the emotions of human connection. ​ Please bring pen and paper or note-taking device!
